Originally from Tamworth, NSW, Steve studied Agriculture in High
School which involved the preparation of Angus steers for hoof and
hook competitions. Naturally, living in Tamworth, he loved the rural
life and missed it alot during his subsequent 20 years service in
the Royal Australian Navy.
Steve and his wife Kylie have been breeding Murray Greys for the
past 5 years and are currently building up their Greyman herd. He
has held positions as Publicity Officer and Chairman of the Darling
Downs Breed Promotion Group. Currently Steve is facilitating the development
of the Queensland State Branch.
Steve brings to the board a business and information technology background.
He is keen to ramp up the promotion of Murray Greys and improve communications
within the society. He is particularly interested in developing an
export market for Murray Greys and Greyman as both live cattle and
genetics.
