Henceforth the Awards will be known as the Woodbourn Murray Grey Youth Ambassador Awards.

Woodbourn Stud principal Charles Wallace, along with his wife Janet has been breeding Murray Greys for forty one years at Cressy in northern Tasmania. Each year in May Woodbourn holds a successful on property sale, with cattle regularly sold to all states throughout Australia.

Charles, also a Life Member of the MGBCS, is pleased to be involved with the Youth Program, as he realises the importance of encouraging young people to become involved with Murray Greys and the beef industry as a whole.

The Murray Grey Youth Committee is looking forward to having Woodbourn on board for 2011 and will relish the opportunity to have a stalwart of the Murray Grey breed involved with the program.

Planning is already underway for the 2011 Woodbourn Murray Grey Youth Ambassador Awards and it promises to be the best one yet.
