Cattle Council’s Rising Champion

Former Murray Grey Youth Ambassador Ian McConnell has been named the Cattle Council’s Rising Champion to represent young Australia beef producers at the International Livestock Congress and Western Stock Show in Denver Colorado in January 2012.

The Murray Grey breed was well represented at this year’s awards with Lauchie Cole, part of the Woodbounr Murray Grey stud team named runner up and current Youth President Jake Phillips, one of the finalists.

In the awards’ inaugural year, another previous Murray Grey Youth Ambassador, Alison McIntosh named the winner.
