Gippsland Murray Grey Breeders celebrate Beef Week

The Gippsland Murray Grey Breeders Group have supported the Stock and Land Autumn Beef Week for the last five years.

This year the group spread our wings further by inviting several other breeds and breed representatives to join us in mounting a combined Beef Display and Spectacle at Lardner Park, the home of Gippsland Field Days.

Five Murray Grey studs displayed bulls, cows and heifers, while Welsh Black, Speckle Park and Limousin were among other breeds present. There was a steady flow of visitors throughout the day in spite of the heat, with real interest being shown in our Murrays and followed up with sales after the event closed.

This was a very successful experiment and should be bigger and better next year.
