National BJD Review includes a series of public consultation opportunities

July 10, 2015

Bovine Johne’s disease (BJD) management in Australia is an important issue for cattle producers across the country and it is currently being reviewed through the National BJD Strategic Plan Review.  A forum was held in February following which a discussion paper was released in April.  The public were given an opportunity to provide feedback with more than 20 submissions received.  The panel met again in May to review submissions and progress the development of a new way forward.  A second round of submissions were called for and a follow up meeting will be held on July 21st in Melbourne.  Further information on the National BJD Review can be found on the AHA website at
