Greys Excel at Lindsay

A highly successful day for Lindsay Murray Greys, concluded with record sale averages reflecting a season of unprecedented commercial prices across all sections of the industry.

In summary of the sale 25/29 bulls sold to a top of $20000, to average $12 Stud heifers recorded a top price of $4500, to average $3750 and 36 highly sought after PTIC commercial heifers topped at $4000 and averaged an amazing $3770.

Top priced honours went to Lot 15 Lindsay Quadrant Q106 who was purchased by Onward Murray Grey stud, Dorrigo NSW.                                                                                                                                   Quick N Easy Q124 was knocked down for $18000 to Rod Marshall, Pomonal.

Longtime client Murella Partnership, Codrington were successful in securing Lindsay Qantas Q115 for $17000.

Well known Murray Grey producers Greenhills, secured lots 2 for $16000 & Lot 7 for $15000, while also purchasing 23 PYIC stud and commercial heifers.

Valued clients, Cavanagh Partners were successful in securing Lots 4, 8 & 18 for an average of $15600.                                                                                                                                                                           12 very well-presented stud heifers sold to $4500 twice with Lot 32 Lindsay Edith P108, heading to Ballyvaughan Murray Greys in SA and Lot 35 Lindsay Yoko, heading north to Guy Burnett, Maefair Murray Grey Stud NSW.

The 36 Top quality PTIC commercial heifers met spirited bidding to top at $4000 three times reflecting some excellent returns in the commercial sector of recent times.                                                        The sale was extremely well supported by both return clients and new breeders hoping to secure Murray Greys from a proven program.                                                                                                        Elders and Nutrien Casterton conducted the sale on property at Pigeon Ponds.
