Recording Greyman beef cattle worldwide
Animals eligible to be recorded in the Greyman Register must have only Murray Grey and Brahman blood with a minimum of 25% and a maximum of 75% blood of either breed.Where the sire and/or dam of a calf to be recorded in the Greyman register is a Brahman:
- The sire must be tested free of Pompe’s disease;
- An official three generation pedigree for the Brahman animals must be provided;
- A pedigree certificate for the Brahman animal must be provided;
- The animal must be enrolled in the CP register and the prescribed fee paid.
The animal may be silver, grey or black in colour with no severe brindling.
A Greyman animal will be classified according to the number of generations of breeding by allocation of a generation number according to the generation table shown below.
