MONTEREY MURRAY GREY AND ANGUS ON-PROPERTY SALE

Gary and Julie Buller’s, Monterey Stud, phenomenal run of high averages continued at this year’s annual sale conducted on 10th February, 2016.

With a top price of $18,000 for Lot 2, Monterey Kosciuszko GJB K101, which sold to Queensland stud Shell-Dee owned by the Hanson family of Kingaroy.

Along with a 2013 June drop bull, Monterey Jukebox GJB  J132 selling to Rod Gregurke, Tarlina Stud , Port Lincoln, South Australia for $12,000.

This all made for a grand average of $6,166 for 45 Murray Grey bulls, up $436 on last year’s sale.

This followed with an offering of 26 PTIC commercial Murray Grey heifers which topped at $1,900, for a pen of five. These sold to Mark Semini of Semini Enterprises, Margaret River. This achieved a very affordable average of $1,830 for the 20 month old purebred heifers.
