Congratulations to our President, John Contarino, and Terry of Gadgarra Murray Greys on a very successful Malanda Show (QLD) In June.
With 13 head exhibited over four days, and a three-person team all aged 65 and over, Gadgarra Murray Greys proved age is no barrier when there’s plenty of passion, grit and good cattle behind you — finishing as second most successful exhibitor among 157 stud cattle.
The team won many a broad ribbon across the event including Champion Interbreed Dam’s Progeny Group, a tremendous achievement and a strong endorsement of the quality and consistency within their Murray Grey program.
Judge Rob Sinnamon, with 50 years’ experience in breeding, showing and judging stud cattle at numerous Royal Shows across Australia and the USA, reportedly commented to several exhibitors that he did not expect to see Murray Grey cattle of such high quality that far north.
The Murray Grey Beef Cattle Society is extremely proud of John — not only for the results achieved, but for the hard work, dedication and passion he continues to show for the Murray Grey breed.
Congratulations John and Terry on a fantastic show and a wonderful promotion of Murray Grey cattle in Queensland.
